Can I choose the flowers for my wedding?

Yes. We work with you to provide the flowers you want for your wedding. So your special requirements are met we arrange for you to meet with our specialist wedding florist to discuss your needs.

Can you provide flowers for the reception?

We can arrange flowers for both your wedding ceremony and your reception. We can discuss this with you at your consultation.

How far in advance do I need to book my wedding flowers?

Ideally you should book your florist as soon as the wedding colours and themes have been decided on, it’s never too early to get organised! However, if your wedding is coming up soon telephone us on 09 818 6556 so we can discuss your needs with you.

Do I need to pay a deposit? What forms of payment do you accept?

Flowers on the Hilltop will require a small deposit usually 10% of the wedding package value to ensure the time to make your flowers is booked in by our florist.
We can arrange a time payment scheme for you if required and accept all forms of payment prior to your wedding day. The flowers will need to be paid in full 10 days prior to your wedding day.
We accept all major credit cards eftpos and cash.

Can you deliver my wedding flowers?

We can arrange for flowers to be delivered to your wedding venue, your home or reception venue.
There is a charge for the delivery service we only deliver Wedding Flowers personally.

Can we meet for a consultation and what should I bring?

It is really important and exciting for us to discuss your wedding styling with you so we can create the special flowers you have been dreaming about for your wedding.
Your consultation will take 30-45 Minutes, to book a prearranged time either telephone us on 09 818 6556, or complete the enquiry form on the Weddings page of our website. Our Wedding Florist will contact you to arrange a convenient time.

This gives you a chance to write down your ideas, numbers, colours, and any other relevant information, ensuring also that we have a good record of your needs recorded.

Will you work within my budget?

Yes. We understand that weddings can be expensive events and we can work within the budget you have set. We have some set wedding packages that cater to a wide range of budgets, if nothing there appeals our wedding specialist can help you work through your desires verses your budget. The scope of your wedding can often dictate the price, the same pricing principles apply to one bouquet as to ten , however talk to us you could be pleasantly surprised!

Our consultation form asks you to consider how much you would like to spend on flowers, and this will guide us in our choices of what we offer to complete your day.

We can give you an accurate quote after discussing your flower requirements with you and are really happy to suggest lots of alternate ways to make things work to accomplish the perfect look for your wedding.

How much notice do you need to organise funeral arrangements?

We are aware that when a loved one passes away there is often not a lot of time to do all the things we need to in order to make the celebration of their life meaningful. The guidelines given below are the ideal , but if your requirement is different or more urgent do call us as we will always do our very best to be able to help you at this sad time. Phone us for more immediate response ofte we can do the almost amazing with very little notice.

Large and medium casket spray to cover the entire casket: 12 – 24 hours notice
Wreaths and memorial tributes: 12 – 24 hours notice
Stems exposed in oasis: 3 – 5 hours notice
Funeral spray can be created instore within 20 minutes subject to available flowers or made with requested flowers if not in store with a days notice.

Bouquets and sprays for friends and family to take to the funeral, or to the family, require at least 20 mins notice by telephone to create, or call by and choose an appropriate bouquet from our premade stand instore at 4148 Great North Road Glendene,Auckland.

Can you deliver the flowers to the cemetery or funeral parlour?

Yes. We are the closest florist to Waikumete Cemetery, we also can deliver to all of the West Auckland funeral homes and churches Monday to Saturday, (Sunday will incur extra delivery charge). We are able to organise flowers directly to the cemetery plot for your loved one on anniversary or birthday times. We can also arrange deliveries to your home or church for Family Service prior to the funeral.

Can I organise the arrangements over the telephone?

We understand that this is a very emotional time for loved ones and so we would be happy to discuss funeral floral arrangements over the telephone. If you chose to come into the store we will also discuss and show you flowers and different ways of doing arrangements. This is helpful if you would like to be able to choose flowers from our large selection, and with notice we are able to source requested flowers as well. There are many different ways to say goodbye and we can help with both what is appropriate and also affordable.

Can you arrange for individual mourners to have roses to place on the casket?

Yes. Simply talk to us about how many roses, or other flowers, you require and we can arrange for these to be available to you.

Have you any questions or concerns about buying flowers online? Is it safe, what if I can’t find what I’m looking for, can I add extras to my flowers?

I haven’t shopped online before, is it safe?

Flowers on the Hilltop uses the DPS system trusted throughout New Zealand , your credit card information is sent to us in an encrypted form,we can’t store this information for future reference so that is why you would have to re-enter the card detail when reordering from our site. Your personal information is stored in our password protected database.

What if I can’t find what I want on your website?

Can I add gifts, such as chocolates or teddy bears, to the arrangement?

Yes. We have a range of yummy chocolates, gorgeous teddies, candles ,balloons, Scullys lavender products, & small gifts that you can add to your order. Visit our Gifts section pages of our online store to see our other gifts. Simply click on Add to Cart to include these in your order.
